Gemma Susan Brown (Gemmmmar, Fudge Frownie Brownie, Susan, Jimal ) I have been friends with Gemma since I was 2, this friendship started with the Browns living 5 doors up the road from out family home. Gemma and I went to nursery school, primary school and when she moved to Harlow the local night spots together. Gemma was very at home in the Weavers house and became very much one of the family. We counted Gemma as a sister to the 5 of us and one who enjoyed the Weavers stories more than most! She was in the Professional club when she was young with the her brother and the Weavers, her job was to be hole finder and check the freshness of rabbit poo with myself (Sian). This job resulted in her coming back from the park muddy scratch and with bits of wood in her hair. When Gemma moved to Harlow in her second year at school she gained lots of friends good and bad! One friend Lara has been with Gemma through out the years, through thick and thin and by chance both living in Bristol. Gemma and Lara liked nothing better than catching up over a dog walk and a glass of wine. Gemma is the kindest person I know, she will give the shirt off her back, bed in her house and advice even though you think that you don’t want it! If Gemma had an idea, whim or new project she grab it with passion, research it till there was no book unturned, explain it to anyone who was listening or was just in the room, even if she didn’t 100% believe it herself. Gemma was always one for making people smile or have a laugh even if at her own expense. There can’t be a single person who has not been touched by Gemma and her special ways in some form or other. She always kept in contact with friends and kept a wide group of friends and if they lost contact with each other she would drag them back together. She loved her family always keeping me informed about her Nan who was always in our lives in Chessfield Park. Nan is a younger model of our Nan and was always quick on the knitting and always wanting to know the ins and outs and gossip of life. Richards and Jo’s kids, Ella and Max gave her the “Wind in her Tail” and a spark in her life. Her parents were the back bone to her up brining and always supported her, even late at night when we came in from the local night club! 2 new loves of there life were Rich and Dodge, Rich was the stability and Dodge gave her a purpose and a reason to get out and walk and to come home after a days work or a few beers. Gemma will always make people cry, but in a good way. People will always have a “Gemma moment” which they can remember, a moment that Gemma made you laugh and normally without her even meaning to do it!
